Ashoora's red hue:
Karbala's sands re-enact
eternal clash between truth
and falsehood.
I see Hussain bin Ali
and his valiant 72
defying the odds
of Yazeed's multitude.
Karbala glows and
Hussain lives on forever,
with his faithful 72.
Unlike the cowardly usurper
and his band of evil doers.

Ashoora is the day that falls on the 10th of the Islamic month of Muharramul Haram. As tradition has it Prophet Moses led the Israelis after the parting of the Red Sea, escaping the army of Pharoah.
It is also the day when Hussain, the son of the fourth Muslim Caliph Ali bin Abu Talib, along with his faithful 72 supporters fought the armies of Yazeed at Karbala in Iraq; embracing martyrdom in the cause of truth and righteousness instead of bending to falsehood.
