WHY O GOD?
You O God,
commanded the angels to bow before my father
Adam,
and everyone bowed,
except Iblis.
You cast him out.
Then how did the rebel enter Eden,
to seduce my parents?
Why did you cast them out as well?
You created Adam to be a Khalifa*,
and You taught him all the names.
You taught him how to speak,
You taught him the holy prayer.
You made him quite powerful,
next only to You.
At the same you gave reprieve to Satan,
who became the cause of mankind's fall.
Why my Creator, tell me why,
You are the Lord, I seek a reply.
