Dark clouds hover to shed rain,
Furious winds blow,
I wish my beloved was here.
I wonder if I will snap,
Out of the grand past,
Or follow her to the grave.
Daphne: my innocent one,
Keeps haunting my life,
Even though the years have passed.
I miss her presence badly,
Her expressive eyes,
And her endearing laughter.
Time keeps playing its strange tricks,
The mind does not quit,
As all the gone moments shine...
O my dearest loving God,
You do see my pain,
While my beloved is with you.
The soul that loved me so much,
Is in Eden now,
While I wish that she were here...
It will soon rain heavily,
As the night prolongs,
And I will relive the past.
Love can be so wonderful,
But barbs of parting,
Can turn heaven into hell.
My hurt, lonely, grieving heart,
Will keep on pining,
For Daphne -- she IS my life.
