Knock on the Door

Verse 1

There’s a knock on the door in the dead of night,

Boots on the porch and flashes of light,

Mothers hold their children,

Praying this fear just passes by.

They say it’s law, they say it’s right,

But hearts know wrong!  when wrong’s in sight,

When families shake and voices break,

And hope is hanging by a thread.

Pre-Chorus

They wear the badge, they wear the shield,

But who protects the ones who kneel?

Who stands up when justice fails,

And the truth is buried in paperwork and lies.

Chorus

If the cops won’t stand, then we gotta rise,

With open hearts and fearless eyes.

We won’t fight with fists or guns,

We fight with truth till justice comes.

They tried to silence, tried to divide,

But we are louder side by side.

No tear gas cloud, no threat or fear

Can silence  millions of voices clear.

Verse 2

Open a book, read history’s pain,

World War scars, the same old game,

When power turns on its own people,

And calls oppression “keeping things stable.”

An evil man once used the state,

To hunt his neighbors, to spread his hate.

We said “Never again” back then

So why are we watching it start again?

Pre-Chorus

They call it order, they call it control,

But there’s no law that breaks the soul.

When families are torn apart,

That’s not justice—that’s a scar on the heart.

Chorus

If the cops won’t stand, then we gotta rise,

With open hearts and fearless eyes.

We won’t throw stones, we won’t attack,

We march with truth and never crack.

No bullets fired, no flames, no hate,

We show the world we won’t be bait.

They want us angry, wild, and torn—

But peace is how revolutions are born.

Bridge

Hands in the air but not in fear,

We lift them up so all can hear:

“We are human, we belong,

We won’t be quiet, we won’t be gone.”

They want a reason to bring the storm,

But love is how we keep it warm.

No broken windows, no burning streets—

Just millions of voices and marching feet.

Final Chorus

Stay united, stay strong, stay loud,

We are the fire they can’t put out.

No knock, no badge, no border line

Can erase our right to shine.

We don’t answer hate with hate,

We answer with a better fate.

With truth, with love, with voices free,

That’s how a people claim their destiny.

Outro

So when they knock on another door,

We knock back louder than ever before.

Not with violence, not with fear

But with a message the whole world hears:

We are still here.
