i still follow this routine,

which you instilled in me,

i still wait for that call which will never come,

i still wait for you walk in,

bringing to my face a happy grin,



i periodically think of you at times,

some thoughts are good,

some are bad,

some make me laugh,

some make me cry,

some make me just wonder why,



yet i still wish you the best,

and now it's time for me to rest,

rest these feelings that i still carry for you,

cause no matter what has happened,

down deep in my heart,

there will always be love for you,



i will always be around,

and for those times when you're down,

and that beautiful smile turns into a frown,

and you need a friend,

i'll be that friend,

who will stand by you til the end,



i'll be that friend,

who will lend you an ear to listen,

i'll be that friend,

who will lend you a shoulder to cry on,

because i still follow  this routine,

which you've instilled in me,

and i'll be there to help you up when you fall,



cause you are still in my heart,

and that place is still yours by far.........
