Winter, the demise of my outdoor ambitions

All alfresco projects go into hibernation also

Mudding the west wall will have to wait

Making bricks to finish the shop floor

   is put on hold

Tarring the tin roof has missed the window

   between too hot and too cold

But wait, I do hear all my forgotten indoor

   chores, abandoned last Spring, 

      calling to me
