I met a greying gent whose hair was dyed a blue hue and I laughed and I asked 'Hey what's up with you?'. He proudly professed to be a principal whose goal was to cajole his students into reading a million words if for no other reason than to see sea-coloured locks on the top of his head. His wife smiled and nodded a nod that silently said 'he's a good man' and with a wink I told her 'I know'. I bid him thanks for good works and then farewell and went on about my day down the aisles of Wal-Mart. I gave quiet gratitude for the greying gent who dyed his hair azure like the ocean and for his true-blue devotion to our kids.
