Can we please stop playing victim

   and move on to a new narrative 

Or ultimately no narrative at all

The self-imposed labels we readily wear,

   the epithets we suffer others to bear,

      these obloquy leave us awallow

         without care

The personal histories we cling to

   turn us to stone
