Bobcat, desert feline

Tufted ears alert, align 

Gamboge eyes show no surprise

Knower of Secrets with clairvoyant prowess

   cautiously prowls past my bedroom nest 

I would reach out

   and run my fingers through your spotted fur

   if not for this pane of glass between us
