You Changed Me
You're sweet, loving, caring.
You're everything I could ask for,
And more.
You say say you don't know how.
So then I try to make you see,
The way I used to be,
Compared to how I am now.
And that's all because you care.
You changed me,
If you didn't care,
You wouldn't have tried to make me,
So much better and fair.
I'm glad I've changed,
I love the new me.
But most of all,
I love you,
For being the one to change me.
You say you changed me,
From what I was happy being.
But I was never happy the way I was,
That's why I'm so happy the way I am now,
'Cause now I can be happy, being myself,
Rather then being unhappy, being someone I'm not.
You opened my eyes,
You made me see.
Life is so much more,
Than I was seeing it for.
Then you say, "But I keep them closed,"
"Some without me,"
"You could see perfectly."
But I say, "I never actualy realized."
"How much more life could really be,"
"Then what I could see.:
You say, "But how you were was your choice."
I say in return,
"Those WERE my choices,"
"NOW I see everything different,"
"And in a positive way."
This is the way,
I want to stay.
