It's been so long since I've seen your face.

I'll never forget the fight

That ended it all

Our friendship flew away

Lost in the winds

I was too late

I let go

And I just keep hoping that one day

I'll see you again

And you'll look into my eyes

And you'll say, Hello old friend.

I've kept all the notes

We wrote back and forth

I read them every day

Your image comes into my mind

And I smile, letting the tears roll.

I cared for you so much.

And I want you to know

That I still do.

We were the best of friends

We did everything together

Laughed

Cried

Sang

Danced

Just hung out

I remember the days

So, so many days

We would just sit in the bed of your truck

Watch the clouds go by

Watched as the sky turned black

And the stars come out to play again.

Just enjoying one another's company.

I'm writing this to you
