Rain in my heart

Were miles apart

Destined to stay

For longer days



I never knew

You loved me too

I didn’t think I’d risk this

For a love so fair and true…



Why did you take

False sense of stake

Tear my heart in to despair

But you’re the only one who can repair…



Rain in my heart

My tears shall start

Ever lasting sorrow

Till you’re not so far



Sky’s of blue in my bosom

Clouds of gray in my mind

Tears of gentle longing

Raining all the time



Reap the rewards

Of a love so strong

Taking all the lonely nights

Thinking all the long



Why were we made

So far away

I ask this endless question

It circles, then it’s led astray



Rain in my heart

Maybe God was smart

By placing us so far away

But yet so near, still far apart



Years of woeful tears

Shared all my life

I couldn’t take a moment

And step back, just one lonely night

Read between the lines

Lightening in my mind

Whirlwind of all sorrow

Brewing in my heads confines



Earthquake’s through my veins

My deepest pains

Spread through all my body

And still my heart, ‘till this day rains



Clouds in my chest

Flood in my breast

Tsunami through my bones

Please put my pain to rest



Rain in my heart

So far apart

I never felt this love before

Never has my heart been so sore



Help quell the hurt

Through kinder words

I need you now, as I wander near

I need you standing here
