Lost and Found

Behold, I think you found the way
To twist me while you hold me still
Your eyes unveil what words negate
A gaze that warms the deepest chill
I cannot help but watch and laugh
Though it is me you came to taunt
I must not fear what never lasts
Look through to seize all that you want

Assuming that I have it right
Of course assumptions share a tale
Of careless words with one request
My confidence to never fail
While looking left your smile it beams
Convincing all within your sight
Though lips are pursed as glances meet
You fall apart as you look right

My heart is shuffling to make room
As hanging weights let loose from pride
Make extra space for you alone
Assists with all you try to hide
If I could comfort just one thought
And make it so that you could see
I know the feeling to be lost
So lose yourself alongside me
