Yesterday was great, especially when you smiled
It made me tingle it drove me wild
Your laughter, your eyes, your beautiful face
If only I knew the comfort of your embrace
Today I sit alone, all these thoughts in my head
Wondering why it could not have been me instead
Holding, kissing, caressing you at night
Waking up by your side at the brink of daylight
Tomorrow I know all will be the same
Me alone and there is no one to blame
It is time to move on that I know is true
But I find myself always thinking of you
I pray that one day you’ll see what I see
And my heart will go on peacefully
My smile will be brighter, my soul content
And all will be beautiful, the way it was meant
