A Man

He was,

A man as old as time

His face hung low on his neck like the dangling crescent in the night sky

Crevasses and flaws danced into his pale complexion

A blurry man he was, as deep as the unsettling ocean.

With a mysterious smile and a dull gleam in he eyes

He wasn’t much to anyone, just another fragile body.

With a deceiving look he knew things no one else did

No one has time for a man who’s life span was falling like the autumn leaves

so now he lays in the soil of the earth to keep his secrets to himself.

How do you save mankind from what we’ve become?

Who really knows?

The answer is gone; they planted it in the cold ground to rest.

Never realizing what one ordinary man could hold.
