Today I danced in between the rain-drops

My eyes added to the ocean of tears

Each drop slivered another piece of my heart

While no one was there to catch the rain



As it continued it’s pour

I continued my dance…smiling all the while

Never to let one see my eyes sweat.



One by one, I watched the ripples

My tears in the rain formed a pond of pain,

I shimmered and shook, and others mistook,

My warm heart'd smile as a sign…but we knew



Shame, yes we knew, you and me

We knew what had come to be,

For the trail left behind, on this sunny day

Was there…hidden away…yes we knew…it wasn’t a...mirage
