Somewhere South of Heaven
Somewhere south of heaven
far away from the celtic blue
eyes he left behind some seven
months ago, of love he held so true
he gazes at the stars to the north
thinks of his heart he left there behind
tonight he’ll travel back and forth
through the memories that lay on his mind
Off in the distant he see’s the big dipper
remembers how he used to watch it from her porch
back in the days of before he differed
back when in her heart she carried his torch
Perhaps things might have been different
he thinks to himself in his mind
maybe she wouldn’t be so indifferent
as today she has become so unkind
Had there not been two of him
had he only shown her the one that is real
she may have really been in love and not quick to defend
the touch that he knew she could feel
For when somewhere south of heaven
he ponders it all in his mind
he treasures his love that some seven
months ago, he somehow...left behind
