Lovesick Star
Perched again
Upon this lovesick star
I look for the answer from heaven
Thus, all is quiet so far
Mistaken opinions
Sustain this set
Ask the lord to speak to your heart
Rid your mind of wrong paradigms
Truth into your mind and heart be let
Cannot argue with forgone conclusions
One such as yours, filled with untrue illusions
Could move a mountain,
Easier than change your mind,
Pray that someday you know you were loved
Guess loves not important to you, in your space and time
Never one to give up
Past always strong
Not in me this present day
Rather like a two-headed coin
No matter what, my answer tails
Will always be wrong
Cannot drown it with Jack Daniels
Can’t kill it with pain
From this lovesick star no escape
Misery has no refrain
Lift up my eyes with prayer
Hope his will and mine are the same
Your words speak of the aforementioned
And I, will accept the blame
Only thing I ask
When he speaks with you about us
Is that you listen,
‘til then
I’ll wait here, perched upon this lovesick star,
From afar,
Waiting for his willed decision
