Renior said it, with paint and canvass
Van Gogh echoed it as well
Shakespeare used his words
To speak, of loves... hell
Some light a candle
To soothe the weary soul
Others rely on wisdom and time
They amble, when dealt a crushing blow
Yet, some choose
Any means of solace they can
For me it’s three chord blues
Of Stevie Ray, and Bobbie Blue Bland
Never could paint an artists’ picture
Or rope the wind with song
So I try to use the words of endearment
To help the night move along
Reflections of past during the day
Dreams of love during the night
Speak to the heart of one in dismay
As I bask in the candle light
Dreams of a dreamer
Sometimes serve fitful restless time amiss
Taste the passion dream the dreams
Of far away, yesterdays
Love schemes, hearts in total bliss
Artists’ paint it
Poets write it
I remember it
My ramblings…show it
