Saw a time when smiles
Were written on everyones face
Seems today after many miles
They only come now
Immitation…cut and paste
Maybe it is just that I
Am standing at my…emotional crossroads
One moment seems to bring a smile
Next one brings pain like rain
As remembrance seems never done
Of blame while
A tear may come
Just the same
Yet maybe it is just that I
Am standing at my…emotional crossroads
Seems one step forward
Leads to two steps back
I watch a bird fly
Then hear a baby cry
Maybe a song seems
I don’t know why
Tears flow and I know they are my…emotional crossroads
I trust this time as wisdom
That someday God will see
That I understand
That I was part of some
Master plan
Standing at my…emotional crossroads
