Upon The Rain

Memories of touch still lie upon my fingertips

Like the words remain upon quivered lips

Echo tomorrow of yesterdays wine

Step dance left and right all through the mind

Promise of forever lay gentle upon the rain

Beared cross of never, came screaming just the same

Pillowed dreams give way to meanings unclear

Leave vapor trails upon the soul, as they vanish into thin air

Colossal deju-vu’s ring as if so surreal

While others embrace the pain, learning how to feel

I waited earth long through jaded thoughts of old

Captured the permeated essence of your perfume, lived the story told

And now the shadows dance inside my head

Hovers as is if they are the stars where lovers words were said

Immeasurable are the days, and the hours just the same

For time has chosen the ways, as I have chosen the blame

Only to await this sentence of fate

The time of a kiss having passed with the hour

Seems as if remembrance in song

Will display once again, love we searched to find

Was there before us…all along
