See the dust trails
Of where I’ve been

Was it me or just an imposter you see?
Pieces of hearts strewn about like loose change
I stare into space, looking for the traces of my soul
Seems were lost so long ago
Remember when was here or there
Going where the chosen ones go
Was anything besides the pain ever real?
Time will tell while the answers blow in the wind
Some days, see the dreams in thought
Hear the words in song
Laughter in memory sometimes sounds better
Than in reality…and another time has passed
