The Ghost was not your friend

You keep telling me in my head that

it’s going to be ok

Just come to you into the darkness

Do not be afraid

I know you’re tired of struggling

With everything

She has told you in the past

The ghost were not your friend

No matter how much you prayed

Nothing could save you in the end

Yes the arguments continued

Your justification was even Vincent Vangoh

Stood on this very island

We’ll never know, what The Lord

Told him on that starry night

We dismiss the hurt as sick

Pray that the Demons leave their trip

Holding on to the arms of the Lord

Praying we don’t lose our grip

But we do not know which is real, love? Or which

Is merely, an illusion.

And if they ever talk of you,

in circles they’ll say it’s true

Yet some just died from a broken heart

Temporarily saved by feeling the pain

Thinking and praying that one day, they’d be ..ok

But the pain turned out to be stronger

As you leave this world, full of regret

You are never given a chance to make amends

You were only you, no one believing your silly love songs

You realize, they didn’t care

Pretty soon, you’ll just be , a fleeting…memory
