My grandmother collects nativity scenes. She has a total of 132. For her they are very important and they mean a lot to her. I wish I had something that meant that much to me. The special thing about her collection of nativity scenes is that they are very big, they are very small, that’s whys its very easy for her to have them in her house. My grandma is a very organized woman she has everything in a very special. And of course as most grandmas she likes to save everything. I don’t think I have ever seen her thorough anything to the trashcan. My mother and her sister always tell her it’s not worth it to save as much stuff as she does, they tell her its not healthy to hold on to so many things. But in my opinion it’s not ay of their concern. It’s very impressive how every time you ask her of anything she has a little small souvenir and she knows exactly where to find it.

She started her nativity collection when her children where very small, when her husband brought her one from Paris. It was a very small yet very pretty nativity scene. After that she fell in love with the nativity scenes and she decided to start a collection. This collection is very special to her because it specially reminds her of her husband, since it was thanks to him that she started this collection. She has a great variation of nativity scenes, the thing they al have in common is that they are all the size of Polly pockets. My favorite one is one that my aunt got my grandma. This one is the most small of them all; it’s inside a small box that is shaped as a rose. When you open that box there’s a miniature nativity scene it smells and a Christmas song starts to play.

Every Christmas my grandma takes all of her nativity scenes and put them in a very big table, and they all look so beautiful, because she puts such a great effort in decorating the table, she puts on some lights and a gold cloth below all of the nativity scenes. Yet the most impressive part is the great collection she has. They are all different colors and each of them has a small characteristic that makes them unique. Every time any person of the family goes to a trip they get my grandma one of them, that’s why they are all so different, since they are all from different places. She gets very exited whenever you get her one, and also she takes such good care of them.
