Like dreams floating softly through my mind
Taking me back to days when I was young
And had the whole world to discover
Memories......of you and me
and what we once had
something so rare and special
Memories...of the life we had together
the children we created out of love
Memories....of the family times and all the fun we had
Memories......of the monster that came and robbed the soul
of one of the most wonderful men I ever knew
Memories....of the drugs that took you away
and made you something you weren't
Memories....of the pain you inflicted
and the healing that needed to be done
Memories....now I lay them to rest and face life again
