o' father

o' father

leave me be

without your endless roars hurting me

let me do

what i desire

for i am a woman

a woman that aims higher

i am aware of our society's closed minds

but let me be

a butterfly soaring through the sky

hold onto me as a daughter

not a prisoner lit on fire

o' father

i will make you proud

if you let the breeze lift me

away

and experience the world my way

i know you don't want me

to repeat your mistakes

but life shapes according to the mistakes

o' father

leave me be

see my future

my way

heavenly
