I wanted to tell you
That I love you
It’s nothing new
The saying of those three words
I’ve said them over and over
During our years together
But this time instead of saying them
I kept them in
A silent revelation
A mute prayer
I wanted to say I love you
But in my head I said
I want to love you
The way you want me to
And I wish you could do the same
