Laying in this darkened room,
Trying to find where I am,
And all I keep finding is doom,
Can my heart ever be free?

I call out to you in the night,
Do you hear my broken heart,
Will it ever know how to take flight,
Hear my pleas and save me from falling apart.

My salvation lays with you,
Pull me close to your chest,
Help me lift this heavy hue,
By allowing me to show your crest.

Hold me tight withing your arms,
To never release me to the dark,
Never allow my heart to come to harm,
And you will see a raging spark.

Feel me tremble in your embrace,
And see how my body reacts,
Please don't leave me without a trace,
I give all for you to take.

My whole body quivers at your touch,
Yet my soul cries out for your love,
Here I find I can't get much,
I hope my prayers get answers from above.

Free my spirit that's locked away,
Help me heal my soul,
All I ask is that you stay,
Don't leave me with this whole.

Carry me far from here,
Take away all that's hurt,
Just keep me forever near,
And don't run me into the dirt
