A little sadder each time I dream

My trashcan poetry the rules and promises I've broken
left behind a trail of bridges burned
leaving me free to travel where no one
care's to follow
in the sky tonight there's a silence full of stars
as far as I can see
like romeo an Juliet two star crossed lovers
they said we weren't meant to be
well the loving her was easy
It's the living without her that's hard
I can still see the cool shadows as they fall
through the moonlight an tree branches
leaves rustling soft as the breeze blowing gently
through her brown hair
a smile on her face as she lay sleeping
she was the answer to anyone's prayer
I'll be your friend ,I could be your lover
I'll try to be whatever you ever need
a promise destined to crumble like castles
made of sand
make believing that this story will end with us
getting together somewhere in forever
is just a lie tied together with a pretty ribbon
that seems a little sadder each time I dream
