Sometimes when I'm all alone
I stare off into space
And as I look into the void,
I let my mind just race.
It might be in the morningÂ
When the birds commence their song,
And dazed, I fail to notice
I've been thinking far too long.
Or maybe walking by myself
A stranger's path I cross
And then I wonder if, like me,
They're walking 'cause they're lost.
And as I make my music
On the instrument I play
My mind is captured by the tune
And drifts so far away.
Or sometimes in the evening
When there's nothing more to do
I let my thoughts just wander
And I think my whole life through.
But sometimes when I do this
(why, I haven't got a clue),
Of all the things to think about
I sit and think of you.
