Drunken Ramblings Before we stared into fire,
before we harnessed the flame,
before we learned it`s raw power,
before we knew how to tame.
Before it brought on deep thinking,
before wide eyes kept from blinking,
before new tools we were smelting,
before it developed the brain.
Before the first form of speech,
before we learned how to teach,
before we started to reach,
before we hunted for game.
Before we formed into tribes,
before the Pharohs and Scribes,
before the Bible`s design,
before the Holy Son came.
Before the Empires and Kings,
before our greed for gold things,
before dictators brought hatred,
before they murdered for fun.
Before the smog and pollution,
before the "other" solution,
before the tsunami`s intrusion,
before it poisoned the waves.
Before i turn into bed,
before i finally retire,
before i blame our reactions,
on staring at fire.
