The dancing Black fox reprised.

The Sun crept towards the earth, each crawl resulting in a splash of colour to paint the sky. It was at this time Alfred a young noble man stood on his room balcony facing the great lake Aspiscius where a singular weeping willow stood, craning it's body over the still waters. It was then as Alfreds eyes traced over the willow that he caught sight of the silhouette.

There on the lowest branch sat a creature of shadow and trickery. a simple black fox shadowed against the sun's setting eye. Alfred wondered to himself "how does a fox climb a tree?" but that was a foolish question to wonder it was only logical that a fox could not climb a tree, and Alfred curious of the creature in the tree watched closley barely noticing the last threads of daylight fading into a dark sky adorned by stars and a full moon.

The Fox shifted in the fading light, it knew it did not belong in the sun's gaze or in this man's gaze, she had broken many laws and boundries for the sake of just one more word, on more chance to hear the man's- Alfred's voice. Slowly she left the willow to stand alone and within her decent the last rays finally vanished and she became human if only for a night. She danced no particualr sound or tune to her steps just movement and thoughts. The moon was pleased.

Alfred was entranced and wondered how a creature so strange and mystical could ever exist before his eyes. She was dancing, flowing like a stream into a lake. He felt she needed a song and so began to sing to her.

"Black Vixen, dear Vixen

why do you haunt me so?

dreams and nightmares of your figure close.

Vixen, dark vixen,

why do you hate me so?

just out out of reach from a singular hope

A father, a child. a brother, a man

all that i have been and all that i am,

i'd give to you dear vixen of mine,

if you would look me in the eyes.

Vixen oh vixen dance for me

a song i wrote just for thee,

grasped by the moon, i watch from afar,

as you do change and shatter my heart.

A father, a child. a brother, a man

all that i have been and all that i am,

i'd give to you dear vixen of mine,

if you would be with me tonight"

She danced on soon matching his song and the two met eyes as the moon shone brighter and bright and a beam of light cascaded onto her paused form as she stared at Alfred and He stared at her. The moon grasped onto her body and began to forcefully cause her to shift between her two forms. Her body wretched and twisted in the cold lights grasp Alfred froze as he saw her fall to ground her punishment given and witnessed as she turned to face him. A body stuck between two forms. She had the body of a fox and the face of a human, and he. He screamed and She ran, never to be seen again.

Years later the Dark Vixen was told in tales as a beast who would eat dissobedient children and one day a grand hunt was called and she was found. Soon she faded from memories a tales and soon enough the new king Alfred.
