Starry Eyed Girl
(Another's eye's, Another's dreams)
Blue with just a twinkle
Green and as bright as day.
Brown, or Hazel, or Grey.
To some just an eye to others a beautiful gateway.
Someone plucked a pair of stars from heaven,
and placed them their for your eyes to be.
A gateway to the soul,
like the stars blocking heaven.
I look into you, and the glories I see.
The dreams of Prince Charming, and a family too.
A wonderful home, and a puppy, maybe two.
Then the tears rain from the stars do fall.
You look at me, and you don't see me but your past.
Broken hearts, and Broken Dreams.
The best boyfriend in the world or so it seemed.
The past is just that so see the future as now,
so look into my eyes and let the torment subside.
Don't hold it against mankind, for what one man did to your heart.
See me as I am, and for who I am.
See me for now, not for what your afraid of will be.
I can't promise I'll never hurt you, cause the future my eyes don't behold.
My intentions are fair, but fair does not always hold.
Place your stars to the sky, and watch as your fellow companions dance,
the sky just another dance floor.
A falling star for every time you've cried.
I wish for everything to be better, and perfect,
but life lives on in imperfection.
I'm not the perfect man, nor would I ever claim to be,
but take a moment,
and Twinkle Twinkle Little star,
I know you've wondered truly what we are.
Time will tell as the story goes.
Happily ever after would be nice, but that's not always life.
So trust me, and give blessings to chance,
the stars that wondered to look upon your eyes,
were the ones that your sky was meant to share.
