I've pondered the meaning of life
I've pondered nothing
but the meaning of life is not nothing
I have pondered love
I have pondered death
I have opened my heart to both
so that I can learn to live with them
I pondered the death of love
and love in death
because the heart never forgets
it will always hold a place for you
the one who taught me
life will not always be a happy place
but i ponder the meaning of life
has the meaning changed without you
I don't think it has
I just think that our time together,
was to let me know ,
that I may never know
the true meaning of life,
but i have learned it's not always the big picture,
it's the little things you learn
and the lessons you help teach others along the way
