The next chapter's a different stage.
Happiness could be within this lifetime.
Maybe one day you'll let me call you mines.

We've done this too many times before.
I knew when I walked through that door.
I saw you there and I just knew.
Cupid's arrow went right through.

I was such a defensive bitch at first.
You always knew how to quench my thirst.
Pushing my buttons oh so right.
Staying up late thinking of you all night.

I'd blush when I caught your eye.
You're just so beautiful for a guy.
Trying to keep my mind on my own business.
Fighting to not give into your persistence.

Such fond memories live in me.
They'll swim through my mind eternally.
I wasn't lying when I said, It felt like you were my first.
You made me feel like I've never been in love before.

Maybe in this lifetime we'd be one again.
Right now I'm thankful you'll be my friend.
I don't want to rush things anymore.
We've done that too much before.

Wonder if you still feel the same for me.
If I can't have you I'll take nothing.
No man could ever make me feel the same.
It felt so comforting to say your name.

I feel whole again.
You were the part that was missing.
I'd love to be your missing puzzle piece.
Maybe I'd complete you again in this lifetime.

I'm going to stay strong and hold on.
Because you are worth looking forward to.
It's enough for me just to know you.
I'm feeling like I'm on cloud 9 again.

We lived so fast and died very young.
We've tryed our bounce back rebounds.
It'll just never be the same without you.
You're a changed man,so brand-new.

As friends or even as lovers.

All I know is no man has the power.
Only you can cast your spell over me.
Your touch is just so intoxicating.
At the moment I'll just keep waiting.

Who knows what this lifetime could bring.
I'm not really looking for anything.
