Everytime I look at you
Sonnets tie my tongue in knots
You smile at me so adorably
And rhymes clutter my thoughts
Baby, you’re my poetry
I could write pages bout you
Ooh, my non-fiction lover
Everything you are is the truth
All the lines I write recently
Seem to be the same
And every title that I consider
Always bears your name
You have become my inspiration
At a time when block cramped my style
My pages had been blank
My pen hadn’t written in a while
Now that I’ve found you
My thoughts just won’t quit
I’m back on that poetic vibe
Feelin all twitterpated n shit
When I have nothing to give you
Or you think that I’ve forgot
I hope my poetry speaks in volumes
To let you know that I have not
I love you for bringing back my gift
For making me see the light
For giving me back the ability
To get my pen back out and write
