I’ve always questioned that voice deep inside

That nags me to do the wrong &

Lets the right slip on by.

I know I am forgiven

When I bow my head to pray.

But come the final judgment day

I will no longer be able to slip away.



I’m fighting a losing battle

On earth each and every day

But when I get to heaven

My battle scars will surely

Be taken away.



Come rescue me from Satan

And deliver me from evil

Come drown my sins in water

And shower me with rain.



I need to let you in now.

I feel that it is time.

Know that I am sincere

And want you by my side.



I’ll never be mistaken

For Satan’s little girl

For now I’m on the mission

To save people from this world.



So please rescue me from Satan

Please take me…

But please don’t break me…

I’m ready to be yours now

I’m ready to begin.

To save you from the cross

And prove your sacrifice was not of loss.



I know you’ve already saved me

You saved me from within.

I’m ready to be judged now

When I sing your holy name.



Don’t hesitate to come for me

For I have my bags all packed.

Marked on the front of each of them

Peace.           Love.                     Joy

Written in the same handwriting

As the time you saved my soul.



I’m ready to discard that shield

I’ve been holding all along

So people could not see the seal

You so preciously gave to me.



Written in golden letters

You’ll find it on my soul

“Saved by the Grace of God”

Now I know that you’re in control.
