Make your peace

Cuz there's not much time left

In the end

Blood is thin

And the world is bereft

Of a love

That existed in another universe



If only you weren't you

      You could love me

If I wasn't me

       You could love me

If only I wasn't me

Then I wouldn't have to die

If  only you weren't you

Then there'd be no tears to cry



This is an elegy

      For a love that couldn't bloom

The wrong place

The wrong time

Or just not enough room



Make amends

Make amends

Cuz my time here will end

On a note

Not of hope

Unintended punishment

For a love

That couldn't exist in this universe



If it's a question of gender

There's nothing I can do

But at the end of time

I'll still be loving you

My love will live forever

Trapped in a drop of blood

Bound in my letter to you

With my unwanted love



I've made my peace

I've made amends

And now my time among the living

Is at it's peaceful end

Don't blame yourself

You were a true friend

You can't help what you are

And I'll never hurt again
