   HOW WE MET

It was destiny, see.  It was fate, great.

We, how it happened, don't understand.  We just hold hands.

  The stars.

        We were 7 years old.

         in second grade.

You held my hand.  You made sure that I really did understand.

You said hi.  You said hello, you asked if there was any place that I wanted to go.

You pulled up a chair to my table.  You told me you really cared.

With your pretty hair you played.

Blond hair with red braids.  An image that really, really, stayed in my bed.

    At night in bed.

You see, with me, you wanted to play a game.

In my friendship with me, you stayed.

Time went by.  Years fly by too.  Tears from my eye.  Why ask we.

As true as the water blue.

As everybody does know, we did grow.

         Two hearts became one.

    A search for love, done.

A life, a husband and a wife, begun.

    Two souls, one,

    a game won.

Two lovers down the road.  A wonderful story over and over told.
