I SURVIVED LOVE'S MAZE

Folder:
COUNTRY POEMS

           There were several twists.

Several rooms where scary animals hissed.

I talked to several people for help.

To dead ends, me they did send.

           I survived love's maze.

           There were several long halls.

They seemed to go on and on and on.

There was a lot of darkness before the dawn.

The sun shine on the lawn.

           I survived love's maze.

             I walked down the halls.

             I walked down the halls.

There was nobody with whom to talk.

I could feel my doom coming.

I felt like turning and running.

           I survived love's maze.

I covered myself against the old fears.

           I could feel my tears.

I got lost in the forest of trees of wood.

I think I saw Red Riding Hood.

            I survived love's maze.

Then, when I thought never end would this night.

             Or would my fright.

I feared my end was near.

             Then, came the dawn.

There was my sweet dear, you.

A light, a delight, bright and true.

             A light shining through.

                Oh, I survived love's maze.

              Yeah, I survived love's maze.
