BACK TO REALITY

Folder:
COUNTRY POEMS

I will wake from this dream soon, as

the night ends and down goes the moon.

It will be as hard to take as stale cake.

It will be like walking across a big, frozen lake.

Yes, this whole thing was a mistake.

Oh yes, you see for me, it will be back to reality.

Will I be a star and go far?  No.

I will be in my car and home I will go.

I will be at the other side of the lake with

           a long way to row.

Yes, this really takes the cake.

I will not be roaming; instead, I will be at homing.

I will take a plane or a train back to my life plan.

I thought it would work; I guess I was insane.

Oh yes, you see for me, it will be back to reality.

Yes, it's a fact; reality will soon set it.

            I will soon be sacked.

It will be a loud din.

No, this contest I did not win.

I soon will be home alone.

            Is this a dream?

It is probably a wizard's evil scheme.

Oh yes, you see for me, it will be back to reality.

It's worse than an amusement park theme land.

It's worse than listening to a bad bang.

It's worse than being covered by sand at the beach.

Or by being covered by a huge leach.

Oh yes, you see for me, it will be back to reality.

Oh yes, you see for me, it will be back to reality.
