              If I had one wish.

            

              I would all stop all time.

              So, longer you could be mine.

      So, our love would keep going along that great line.

      I would not have to wine.

      You and I could dine.

      Yes, it would be fine.

      Maybe a trip to Germany, a cruise along the Rhine.



                  If I had one wish.

        

                  I would stop all the clocks.

                  I would not want our love to be on

                  the rocks.

                  I would love to be exciting, like watching

                  a running fox.

                  Like getting a surprise box.



        If I had one wish, and I could stop time,



        I would do it, just for a little while.

        I would do it, just for a few hours.

        You and I could be sailing on the Nile.

        Our love could go on, mile after mile after mile.

        

        Just to see you smile longer.

        Just to see our love get stronger.

        Yes, that would be my choice.

        Just to hear your voice.

        My dear, I would have no fear.

        It would be so great, to have you so near.

        I know it would not be fate.

        It would be more than alright.

        It would be adelight, especially at night,

        by candlelight.
