THE MULTICULTURAL FESTIVAL IN BOSTON

Folder:
ABSTRACT POEMS

          I'm driving in my car.

          I'm driving down the parkway.

All around me, people in the park are thriving, thriving.

          Traffic is a nightmare.

Bumper to bumper and all backed up.

All around me, I can hear the dogs beginning

          to bark.

I lay back, look out the window, listen to the music

          and cruise.

          and cruise.

          I look out the window.

I see the guys.  The guys.  The guys.

The guys with their thighs.  The guys with their

          thighs.

          The dudes.  The dudes.

Written after I heard
a friend of mine at work, talking about her experiences.
