I'M LEAVING YOU

Folder:
COUNTRY POEMS

My dear, I know you'll have a lot of fear.

          You will shed a tear.

          You'll cry and ask why.

You'll want to know, why I have to go.

           I'm leaving you.

          You'll have a heart attack.

You'll feel, you've been hit by the truck mack.

You'll feel good luck, you lack.

           I'm leaving you.

   I know you'll cry.  I know you'll ask why.

You'll feel you're going to die.

I'm going away, with somebody else, I'm going to play.

Away from you, I fly.  The limit is the sky.

We're through.  You'll be blue and won't know what to do.

             I'm leaving you.

I confess this was a mess.

I confess this was not the best.

           This is not the best.

           This, I need to arrest.

A night turns to dawn; I'm moving on.

I'm going to move along, you'll sing a blues song.

             I'm leaving you.

I'm tired of you.  I'm firing you.

I want somebody new.  Finding her is what I'm going to do.

    It's something I can't ignore.  I'm looking for

    something more.

On you, I'm shutting the door.
