MILITARY WIFE
She's waiting by the phone.
Feeling so alone.
She's waiting by the door.
A fact she can't ignore.
At night in bed,
all the thoughts in her head.
All the dread.
All day, it never goes away.
All night, feelings never out of sight.
More than see, she can bear.
She, her husband, really does care.
There is only so much she can take.
Only so much until she breaks.
She knew, when she married him.
it was true, what he wanted to do.
She knew, it was true,
what would be her life.
She knew, it was true,
she would be see, a military wife.
