I am but a simple teen,
Yet I hide within myself,
For you see I am a loner.
My path does not seem clear,
It seems rather dark and blurry, in fact.
Trust is a simple thing that most seem to possess,
Yet, for me, it does not come so easily,
Thus I am separated from my peers.
I dare not show who I truly am,
So I put on a mask so that no one shall see into my soul and discover that in which is the “real me”.
And so I shall hide my true colors from everyone,
Not showing who I am and allow others to think of me as they will.
Now, as I conclude, I realize that I am now, and forever shall I be, a loner.
I am but a simple teen,
Or at least that’s what I lead people to believe.
