I'm Only Going Home

On an unknown day,
In an unknown moment,
He will call my name.

When upon a breeze,
Like the autumn trees,
My soul, He will reclaim.

And on that day,
There may be no goodbyes-
Or time, for one last kisses.

But I pray, that they,
In their time of grieving,
Remember my final wishes.

For I wish for them,
Untold blessings.
Laughter more than tears.

Hope and faith,
And steadfast love.
And joy, much more than fears.

For when I leave here,
It won't be a heartache,
For on earth, I'll no more roam.

But be happy for me,
At last, from pain, I'm free,
For I'm only going Home.
