Pain/Ilness That strength inside of me,
I cling to with such hope.
The feeling of being in power,
that helps me hang on and cope.
The little spark of sunshine,
that bursts on through my clouds.
The smile that seems to linger,
and peels away my shroud.
The knowledge of what I have conquered
and of the war that's still within,
are all a part of my personal battle,
that I am determined to win!
