The first time I drank wine I didn't really enjoyed the taste but the bottle reminded me a lot to my father, because whoever has visited my home and known him can recognize what a true wine collection is. My father has around 400 bottles of wine of any type and place, but his favorites are the ones from Chile, Spain, France and Argentina. He usually takes a glass of wine with his meal or with a little snack for example cheese, ham or sausage. It doesn’t matter the day, time and place; he can buy 10 or 20 bottles at the same moment if he wants to. Sometimes my mother gets mad, because she says that is impossible that anyone could ever end all of those wine bottles, I agree with her. As my father likes so much everything related to this topic, when he has a chance he often goes to wine tastings with my uncles. Sometimes in these tastings, the managers give the customers wine glasses or bottles randomly and luckily, my father has gotten those gifts several times. I remember one time, that my father looked for the way to make his own wine. First, he and my uncle bought tons of grapes and put them all in a big container. After this, my sister got into the container and squashed all the grapes, the poor little girl finished really tired. In order to let the grapes be fermented, the container lasted closed like a month and then when we opened, we saw that the wine was already done. To make it more professional, my father also bought empty bottles and corks to put the entire homemade wine there. I have to admit that it was a nice and funny experience for the whole family and I think we can do it more often. At this point of my life, I have already learned that even in Christmas, his birthday or some special day, a wine bottle of whatever would be fine, because he appreciates so much more than any other material thing. Sometimes I related my father’s passion to the one that I have for clothes, shoes and accessories and only when I do that, I can understand him 100 %. He could spend hours sorting the bottles, looking which ones are the newest, the oldest, the best ones or the worst ones. It is simply something that he really enjoys.
