I can’t believe it’s over

It shouldn’t be this hard … to forget

Despite the countless problems

Can’t say that I have a single regret

Every waking moment

I fear I’ve lost my sense of touch

As the world around me burns

I turn from love to lust

Sometimes I just want … to forget

I may be broken but I’m not dead yet

Even if I never recover

I will never surrender my heart

It’s a fruitless endeavor

All these pieces may fall apart

But I won’t depart

From the path I’ve chosen
